Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It's about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. Wear something orange to show your support. https://www.harmony.gov.au/ - Barn Dance – Friday 28th March from 5:30pm
- Each class will present a dance item that they've been learning during The Arts.
- There will be dances for all who attend can join in.
- The P&C will cater food and drinks – cash or card accepted.
- If you can donate/loan a bale of hay please call the school office.
- Cross County Carnival – Tuesday April 1st, 9:00am – 12:00pm
- All students can participate.
- Students can come dressed in House colours.
- Parents are welcome to attend – come dressed in House colours too if you want.
- ANZAC Day – Friday April 25th
- Our school has been invited by the Helidon RSL to march in the annual ANZAC Day March through Helidon on April 25th at around midday.

NAPLAN
Our Year 3 and 5 students commenced NAPLAN testing on Thursday, the test window will continue to March 24th. NAPLAN tests students in years 3, 5, 7 and 9 against core literacy and numeracy, and provides whole school data to help us identify areas where we are doing well and others where we need to do more work on.
2025 FRIDGE CALENDAR
We have had printed 2025 Helidon State School fridge calendars that the students will bring home today. Please give these to your family and neighbours. We have heaps of them so if you want some more, please ask.
MEETINGS WITH TEACHERS
- Please check in with your child's teacher if you have any concerns about their progress.
- If there are any diagnoses that may impact on your child's learning, please make sure you let us know. We may be able to provide some support here at school. Please contact your child's teacher or our Principal.
TOOWOOMBA PRIMARY SCHOOL'S CHESS COMP
On Tuesday March 11th, 4 of our students attended the Toowoomba Primary Schools Chess Comp in Toowoomba. Chappy Don helped prepare to students and they all had a great time. It's pleasing that they all had at least one win in the matches they played.
